Reginald D. Chaplin, a 50-year-old resident of Burton, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on September 13, 2019. According to the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office, Chaplin was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred early that morning. Deputies responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Coinbow Loop around 5:00 AM and discovered Chaplin deceased at the scene. The Beaufort County Coroner confirmed his identity later that day.
