Kevin John Anthony Backus, aged 34, tragically lost his life on November 23, 2019, in Florence, South Carolina. The incident occurred on Curry Lane, where Florence police responded to a reported shooting around 5:22 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Backus with gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to a local hospital by Florence County EMS, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
