On July 6, 2019, 38-year-old Victor Sarver Jr. was shot and killed in the Old Louisville neighborhood. The incident took place in the 1300 block of South Third Street. Sarver was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds.
