Zakiya Synercia Drinkard-McKinney, a 19-year-old woman from Greenville, South Carolina, tragically lost her life on February 8, 2021. The incident occurred at the Poplar Place Apartments in Greer, SC, where she was fatally shot. According to the Greenville County Coroner's Office, Zakiya died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. Another individual was also injured in the shooting and was transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment.
