On the evening of March 5, 2021, Dwon 'D.J.' Fields Jr., an 18-year-old male, was driving in Bluffton, South Carolina, with two friends. A promising high school senior and a defensive lineman for the Bluffton High School football team, he had just committed to attend Greenville Technical College to study welding the day before.
