Dwon Fields Jr., an 18-year-old senior at Bluffton High School, tragically lost his life on March 5, 2021, in Bluffton, South Carolina. Known affectionately as "D.J.," Fields was remembered by his community as a "gentle giant" with a bright future ahead of him. On the night of his death, Fields was shot and killed in what police described as a "single-vehicle incident" at the intersection of Bluffton and Hampton Parkways.
