In the heart of winter, tragedy struck in the Algonquin neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, forever altering the lives of a local family. On the afternoon of January 16, 2020, at the intersection of McCloskey Avenue and Algonquin Parkway, gunfire erupted, leaving two people with serious injuries. One of the victims was 27-year-old Derrick Lawrence, a male resident of the city.
