On a summer evening in Greenville, South Carolina, the life of 21-year-old Joshua Mitchell Hardin of Easley was cut short. On June 20, 2021, deputies from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on York Drive around 9 p.m. and found Hardin inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds. The Greenville County Coroner's Office pronounced him dead at the scene, and an autopsy later confirmed that he died from these injuries, ruling his death a homicide.
