On a late summer evening in Georgetown, South Carolina, the life of 38-year-old Ben Franklin Jr. was tragically cut short. On Monday, August 23, 2021, Franklin and a companion, 25-year-old Kiashia Green, were violently attacked in the Oatland community. The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office received a call around 10 p.m. reporting a shooting on Sutton Road.
