On February 12, 2017, 18-year-old Toriano Adger was shot and killed inside a liquor store on Third Street in San Francisco's Bayview District. The incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. when an unknown assailant opened fire, striking Adger and two other individuals—a 20-year-old man and a 62-year-old woman. Adger was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries. The two other victims survived. The investigation into the shooting remains open, with no arrests made at the time.
