In the quiet town of Latta, South Carolina, the life of Archie Timothy Brown, a 56-year-old male nurse practitioner, was tragically cut short on the evening of Friday, May 27, 2022. A well-respected and beloved figure in his community, Brown was known for his dedication to his work at CareSouth Carolina and his past service as a campus police officer at Francis Marion University.

The events of that fateful night unfolded as a robbery that took a horrific turn. Brown had received an alarm notification from his home on Sunset Drive at Bethea Street Extension. Upon arriving to investigate, he encountered three teenagers who had broken into his residence with the intent to steal guns and money.
