On the morning of the Fourth of July, 2025, the life of 27-year-old Richard Tyler Barrentine, a male from Latta, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. Barrentine was shot near the busy interchange of Highway 38 and I-95 in Dillon County. His death was later ruled a homicide by the coroner, with the cause of death being attributed to gunshot wounds.
