In the warm evening of June 12, 1990, a promising life was tragically cut short in Saint-Louis, Missouri. Lorenzo Rodgers, a 23-year-old male, was off-duty from his role as a police officer when he found himself in a fatal confrontation. He was standing in front of a laundromat at 532 Des Peres Avenue when a man, later identified as 20-year-old Lamarr Pearson, approached him and brandished a handgun in an attempt to commit a robbery.
