Sherri Ann Walker Scherer, aged 38, and her daughter Megan Scherer, aged 12, were tragically murdered on March 28, 1998, in their home in Portageville, Missouri. Their bodies were discovered by Sherri's husband, Tony Scherer, and their son, Steven. Sherri was found lying face down, bound, and gagged, having been shot in the back of the head. Megan was also shot and had been sexually assaulted.
