On the evening of July 26, 2012, Keira Tanter, a 16-year-old from Saint Louis, Missouri, was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Gravois Park. The incident occurred around 9:15 PM when Keira, along with Ronisha Jackson, 20, and three other male victims, were congregating in the park located at the intersection of Miami and Louisiana Avenues. As they were talking with friends, an unknown assailant or assailants fired numerous shots into the group, striking all five individuals.
