On the morning of February 20, 2014, a violent tragedy unfolded in the parking lot of the Raytown Schools Education and Conference Center in Raytown, Missouri. Steven Lee Jones, a 30-year-old male, had driven to the facility to drop off a student at the Success Academy, an alternative education program housed within the center.
