In the early hours of March 1, 2014, a violent double homicide shook the community of Wellston, Missouri, claiming the lives of two individuals. Stephanie Eaisley, a 30-year-old female, and Reginald Snow were found dead following a shooting incident in St. Louis County. Police officers responded to the scene to discover the victims, who had both sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
The sudden and brutal nature of the crime launched an immediate homicide investigation by local authorities to identify those responsible for the deaths of Eaisley and Snow.
Investigators eventually identified a suspect, Marquis McKinney, who was 19 years old at the time of the killings. McKinney was taken into custody and initially faced serious charges, including first-degree murder and armed criminal action, as prosecutors built a case against him for the shooting. The legal process extended over several years, during which the families of the victims awaited justice for the loss of their loved ones.
In May 2018, more than four years after the tragic event, the case against McKinney reached a conclusion without a full trial. McKinney, then 23, entered a guilty plea to two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of armed criminal action. Under the terms of the plea agreement arranged with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison for each count, with the sentences ordered to run concurrently.
