Who killed Hamp Lewis?
On a Wednesday in early June of 2004, concern grew for an African-American man named Hamp Lewis when his daughter was unable to reach him. This concern led her to his home at 2037 N Minneapolis in Wichita, Kansas, on June 9th, where she made a tragic discovery. Inside the residence, she found her father, a 79-year-old male, deceased. It was apparent that he had suffered trauma to his head, and his death was investigated as a homicide.
