Herbert Lee Townsend, a 76-year-old resident of Washburn, Missouri, passed away on January 5, 2015, at Cox Medical Center South. Born on August 3, 1938, in Rogers, Arkansas, Townsend had a long career as a truck driver for Walmart and was one of the first drivers hired by Sam Walton. He was also a self-employed contractor for McClinton-Anchor. Townsend was known for his love of hunting, gun shows, rodeos, and spending time on his front porch with family and friends.
