On the evening of September 9, 2015, Lavell Boyd, a 32-year-old Black male, was fatally shot in St. Louis, Missouri. Boyd, a local rapper also known as Citystyles, was found unconscious in the driver's seat of his vehicle around 7:35 p.m. near the intersection of Riverview and Broadway. He had sustained several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
