On a September evening in 2015, the lives of two men were tragically cut short in Columbia, Missouri. James W. Richardson, a 41-year-old male, and his friend, 42-year-old Kenneth B. Long, were fatally shot, leaving the community in shock. The initial investigation into their deaths pointed towards a double homicide, a grim reality that was later confirmed by autopsy results which showed both men died from gunshot wounds.
