In the small community of Henley, Missouri, the life of a young man came to a sudden and tragic end. Casey James Pitman, a 22-year-old male, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016. The circumstances surrounding his death were reported to be the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound sustained while allegedly participating in a game of Russian Roulette.
Born in Jefferson City on July 24, 1993, Pitman was a resident of nearby Eugene.
He was known for his love of the outdoors, often spending his time fishing and hunting. Described as a loving father, his absence is deeply felt by his family and friends. He left behind two children, his parents, and three brothers. His family held a visitation for friends to pay their respects on March 31, 2016. The interment was a private affair for the family. In his memory, an education fund was established for his children.
