Roy R. Deonier, a 94-year-old male, passed away on April 3, 2016, in Joplin, Missouri. A longtime resident of the area, he had previously lived in Webb City and Sarcoxie, where he worked as a dairy farmer and for the Missouri State Highway Department. He was also a decorated veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Army as a field lineman who participated in the invasion of Omaha Beach and campaigns across Europe.
