In the spring of 2016, a dispute between neighbors in Carthage, Missouri, escalated to a fatal conclusion, ending the life of 38-year-old Jeremy Neeper. On the evening of May 16, 2016, an argument erupted between Neeper and his next-door neighbor, which resulted in Neeper being fatally shot.
