A cabbie from Louisville is found shot to death in S Indiana On July 7, 1989, William Montgomery, a 53-year-old taxi driver from Louisville, Kentucky, was found shot to death along a rural roadside in Washington County, near Palmyra, Indiana. The victim’s yellow taxi was found abandoned about a mile from the homicide scene. Montgomery's last known activity involved him attempting to pick up a passenger from a bar in Louisville, but he never made it there.
