On September 26, 2016, 33-year-old male Earl Cortez Watson was found dead in Kansas City, Missouri, the victim of a fatal shooting. Police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the area of 83rd Street and Wayne Avenue, where they discovered Watson with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, marking a violent end to his life in the southern part of the city.
