William L. Elliott, a 41-year-old resident of Independence, Missouri, was tragically killed on January 17, 2017. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of South Cedar Avenue, where police responded to reports of a shooting around 4:45 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found Elliott suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead.
