On a Wednesday morning in the spring of 2017, the life of 17-year-old Taylor Simpson was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The young man, a junior at Lieberman Learning Center in University City, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri, was walking on the sidewalk in the 8300 block of Braddock Drive on April 12th when a dark-colored sedan approached. Shots were fired from the vehicle, striking Simpson multiple times. Two other individuals nearby sustained minor injuries in the attack.
