In what was described as a tragic accident among friends, 21-year-old Spencer Weber died on Sunday, June 4, 2017, in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred when a group of four young men were reportedly 'playing' with newly purchased guns.
According to reports, 22-year-old Demonte M. Turner was showing Spencer Weber how to disassemble and clean his. 40-caliber pistol. Unaware that the firearm was loaded, Turner accidentally discharged the weapon, striking Weber in the head. Weber was transported to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses informed law enforcement that they had previously warned Weber and Turner to stop playing with the guns.
Following the incident, Demonte M. Turner was charged with involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action in connection with Weber's death.
