Marcell T. Smith, a 36-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, was tragically shot and killed on September 8, 2017. Smith was gunned down in broad daylight near 54th and Park, just blocks from the home he shared with his mother. At the time of his death, Smith was pursuing his commercial driver's license with aspirations of becoming a cross-country trucker. He left behind a 4-year-old son and a 6-year-old daughter.
