Khallid Chapman, a 23-year-old resident of St. Louis County, Missouri, tragically died on October 6, 2017. The incident occurred after Chapman was shot while driving, leading to a car crash. According to reports, the St. Louis County police were alerted to the shooting by ShotSpotter technology, which detects gunshots. Upon arrival, officers found Chapman's car overturned after it had struck a tree.
