Donovan Lavell Smith, a 26-year-old resident of Saint Joseph, Missouri, tragically lost his life on October 28, 2017. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning when Donovan was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle in the 700 block of 23rd Street in Saint Joseph. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Khaury D. El-Amin, was in the vehicle with Donovan at the time of the shooting.
