On November 11, 2017, a violent incident in Springfield, Missouri, claimed the life of twenty-three-year-old Danny Lee Dayton. Danny, a White male who was a Navy veteran and employee at a local Steak 'n Shake, was preparing to leave for work from his residence on East Verona Street around 5:00 p.m. As he and a witness were getting ready to depart, the situation abruptly turned fatal when his half-brother, Brandon M.
