Cornell Nelson, 22, a Black man, was killed by gunfire on May 11, 2018, in St. Louis, Missouri, when violence found him in the middle of an ordinary Friday afternoon. Reports place the shooting in north St. Louis near Fairground Park, in the 3900 block of Palm Street, where he was struck in the torso.
