In the late summer of 2018, a distressing event unfolded in a north St. Louis hotel, culminating in the death of 27-year-old Joseph Bullock. On August 17th, police were called to the hotel located at 4028 N. Broadway, where a tense standoff ensued with Bullock.
Law enforcement officers attempted to engage with him, but their efforts were ultimately unsuccessful. After a period of confrontation, Bullock was discovered deceased inside a hotel room bathtub.
The cause of death was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Following an investigation by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, Bullock's death was officially ruled a suicide. Consequently, there were no suspects pursued or arrests made in connection with the incident.
