In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Indianapolis, just days before Christmas in 2008, a violent act shattered the holiday season for a local family. Eighteen-year-old Broque A. Lumbreras, a male resident of the city, was seated in the passenger side of a van when he was struck by gunfire. The shooting occurred just before 5 a.m. in the 3400 block of North Capitol Avenue.
