On the afternoon of June 18, 2019, violence erupted in a residential neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the life of Caprice Hardy. Police officers were dispatched to the 4100 block of Monroe Avenue around 4:15 p.m. following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, first responders discovered the 22-year-old Black male victim unresponsive on the sidewalk, suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.
