On March 5, 2020, law enforcement officials and emergency personnel responded to a residence in the Weddle Addition of Bethany, Missouri, following reports concerning the welfare of the homeowner. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 45-year-old male Joshua Quinn Eckerson, who had served as the Sheriff of Harrison County since 2012.
