In the early morning hours of a Saturday in the Tower Grove South neighborhood of St. Louis, tragedy struck, leaving one woman dead and another injured. On April 18, 2020, police responded to a call on the 4400 block of Beck Avenue where they discovered two women who had been shot. One of the victims, 54-year-old Charmaine Stanfield, was pronounced dead at the scene. The second woman was transported to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.
