In the early morning hours of July 29, 2020, the quiet of a Florissant, Missouri, neighborhood was broken by the sound of gunfire. A concerned neighbor on Bayberry Lane heard approximately 10 shots that sounded as close as a knock on the door and promptly called the police. Upon their arrival at around 3:15 a.m., what they discovered was a scene of tragedy. Twenty-eight-year-old Evann Williams, a male resident of the home, was found inside his car in the open garage.
The vehicle's engine was still running. Williams had been shot multiple times.
