In the early morning hours of a Monday in Kansas City, Missouri, the sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the 2900 block of East 30th Street. Responding to reports of the shooting shortly after 6 a.m. on October 12, 2020, police were directed to a house where they found a man inside who was unresponsive. The man, later identified as 26-year-old Frank Richardson, had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
