In the late hours of a Wednesday evening in St. Louis, the life of James Barnett Jr. came to a tragic and abrupt end. On December 2, 2020, police responded to a call of a shooting in the Old North St. Louis neighborhood. There, in a grassy median in the 2900 block of North Florissant Avenue, they discovered the body of the 32-year-old male resident of St. Louis. He had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
