In the spring of 2021, a life was tragically cut short in Dellwood, a suburb of St. Louis. Sean Moore, a 29-year-old male, was shot and killed on the evening of April 3rd. The fatal encounter occurred outside the Dellwood Food Market located at 1620 Chambers Road. When police arrived at the scene around 6:25 p.m., they discovered Moore suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of first responders to save him, his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual was also wounded in the shooting, sustaining a gunshot to the leg, but was treated at a hospital and subsequently released.
The investigation into Moore's death was swift. Officers with the North County Police Cooperative worked through the night and were able to identify a suspect. In the early morning hours of the following day, at approximately 2:30 a.m., authorities took 24-year-old Travion Jared-Lois Willis into custody. Law enforcement officials reported that the weapon used in the shooting was recovered and that Willis admitted to his involvement in the incident.
Following his arrest, the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed multiple charges against Travion Jared-Lois Willis. He is facing one count of first-degree murder for the death of Sean Moore, one count of first-degree assault in connection with the second victim, and two counts of armed criminal action. A judge set his bond at $750,000. The case against Willis is working its way through the legal system.
