In a heartbreaking turn of events that shook the Somali community in Kansas City, Missouri, 14-year-old Abdurahman Abdulaziz was tragically killed on the night of April 30, 2021. He and his 16-year-old brother, Abdulwahid Abdulaziz, were returning home from Ramadan services at the Somali Center of Kansas City when they were gunned down outside their apartment building near 8th and Olive streets around 11:30 p.m. Both brothers were pronounced dead at the scene.
