On April 30, 2021, 16-year-old Abdulwahid Abdulaziz and his 14-year-old brother, Abdirahman Abdulaziz, were tragically murdered in Kansas City, Missouri. The brothers were returning home from a Ramadan service at the Somali Center of Kansas City when they were shot outside their apartment building around 11:30 p.m. The Kansas City Police Department received calls about the shooting and found the boys' bodies at the scene.
