In the summer of 2021, a violent encounter in Springfield, Missouri, led to the tragic death of 44-year-old Travis D. Rogers. On the evening of June 10th, Rogers was shot on North Broadway Avenue. He was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
For nine days, Rogers fought for his life, but he ultimately succumbed to his wounds on Saturday, June 19, 2021. His death marked the 12th homicide in Springfield that year.
