A young man’s life was cut short in a burst of gunfire at a gas station on North Vandeventer Avenue in St. Louis. Twenty-year-old DeVonte Washington was discovered beside a car riddled with bullets on July 2, 2021. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
