On October 18, 2021, 58-year-old James Haulcy, an African American male from Berkeley, Missouri, was fatally shot in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood of St. Louis. The incident occurred in the evening, approximately around 9:30 p.m., near the intersection of Union Boulevard and Ridge Avenue. Haulcy was known to his friends and family as a loving father and grandfather, remembered for his warmth and strong presence within his community.
