On January 11, 2013, Arnaz M. Fowler, age 26, was killed in a shooting incident in Indianapolis. This was one of several violent crimes that contributed to a particularly challenging year for law enforcement in the city. Fowler was found shot at a location on the south side of Indianapolis. He was transported to a hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
