In the late evening of July 6, 2019, 28-year-old Sedrick Rayan Crenshaw left his residence on Atkins Drive in Nashville, Tennessee. He intended to walk the roughly seven to ten-mile distance to see his girlfriend at a Mapco gas station on Smith Springs Road. Crenshaw did not own a car and was accustomed to walking long distances or utilizing public transportation. According to his roommate, he had been consuming alcohol before he departed. Sedrick, a Black male, stood at 6'1' and weighed around 160 pounds at the time of his disappearance. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Sedrick never made it to his girlfriend's location and has not been seen or heard from since that night. Surveillance cameras along the route he was expected to take did not capture any images of him. His phone and social media accounts have shown no activity since he went missing. One of the most concerning aspects for his family is that he left his service dog behind. Crenshaw, who has autism, relied on the dog to help keep him calm, and it was extremely uncharacteristic for him to be without his animal companion.

The circumstances surrounding Sedrick Crenshaw's disappearance remain a painful mystery for his loved ones. His mother fears that he may have been a victim of foul play, given the unusual nature of his vanishing and the subsequent silence. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department is the investigating agency, and his case is listed in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System as MP59396. The case continues to be unsolved, leaving a void in the lives of those who know and love him. The complete lack of evidence, coupled with the strange departure from his normal behavior, has created a troubling and unresolved situation for his family and the Nashville community.
