On a spring day in Nashville, Tennessee, May 30, 2009, a 25-year-old man named Carlos Ivan Posada, left his residence in the 2100 block of 26th Avenue North with the intention of selling a stereo. He was driving a white Nissan Frontier that had a small ladder on the back. At the time of his disappearance, Carlos was described as a Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, standing between 5'8" and 5'10" and weighing approximately 175 to 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a jacket, a blue or black t-shirt, blue jeans, sneakers, a cap, and a necklace. Carlos has a couple of distinctive tattoos: one in green ink on the back of his neck and another of a fairy on a moon on the inside of his left leg. He has not been seen or heard from since he left his home that day. The circumstances surrounding Carlos Posada's disappearance remain shrouded in mystery, with very few details available to the public. He left his home for a seemingly routine transaction and vanished without a trace. His vehicle, the white Nissan Frontier, has also never been located. The lack of evidence and leads has made the investigation incredibly challenging for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. Despite the passage of time, his case remains open, and he is still listed as a missing person. Over the years, efforts to find answers have continued. Volunteer search groups have conducted searches in local waterways, such as the Cumberland River, looking for any sign of Carlos or his truck. These searches have led to the discovery of multiple submerged vehicles, though none have been confirmed to be connected to his case. The case of Carlos Ivan Posada is a heart-wrenching example of the silent tragedies that families endure when a loved one goes missing. With no clear answers or resolution, his family and community are left to wonder what happened on that day in May 2009. The investigation remains ongoing as they hold onto hope for any information that might bring them closure.
